Mark Patterson Wahl

Wahl, Mark Patterson 69, passed quietly on from this life February 13,2024. The fourth child of Ross and Rosalie Wahl of Lake Elmo, MN, Mark was born January 20, 1955 and grew up in a rural community of Quakers and neighboring farmers a few miles from town. He loved skating and hockey and played French horn in the school band. Mark had a great, loving heart and a particular fondness for animals - especially dogs. A musician and writer, Mark played guitar and blues harp and wrote songs, poetry, and journals. He struggled with health issues, some brought on by alcoholism and smoking, and some exacerbated by shortcomings of the medical system. In his last decade or so he overcame his addiction to alcohol and found peace and equanimity through the "Three Principles" as espoused by Sydney Banks. He brought joy to many and will be sorely missed by friends, family, and acquaintances. A memorial gathering to celebrate Mark's life will be held later in May.
