Marie Feien Pfannenstein, age 86, of Edina, passed away from stomach cancer on February 3, 2024, surrounded by her family. Survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Ron; children, Laura (Ralf) Lorenzen, Matt Pfannenstein, Mike (Molly) Pfannenstein; grandchildren, Katherine and John Lorenzen, Kyle, Ben and Jake Pfannenstein; many relatives and friends. Preceded in death by parents, Mathias and Marie Anna (Eisenzimmer) Feien, and an infant sister. Marie was a graduate of Cathedral High School in St. Cloud and St. Alexius School of Nursing (Mary College) in Bismark, ND. She worked as a Registered Nurse at The Veteran's Administration in St. Cloud and as the In-Service Director at Edina Care Center. Marie was a woman of strong faith and was very active at Our Lady of Grace Church. After raising their children in Edina, Marie and Ron lived in Brussels, Belgium, Long Island, NY and Chicago, IL before returning to settle in Edina. Marie loved to travel and had a thirst for knowledge. She was extremely proud of her children and grandchildren. Above all, she was a loving and devoted wife, mother and Nana, and will be missed. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 5071 Eden Ave, Edina, Thursday, April 4th at 11:00 am. Visitation one hour prior to Mass. Luncheon immediately following Mass.
