Johnson, Julie Kaye At age 74, passed away Feb. 7, 2024, from complications after months of complex leg surgeries. Born in Minneapolis, after high school, Julie studied music at the UofM, where she met her love, David Zech. Married in 1970, they raised two children. Later she got a degree in landscape/garden design. She worked for Lyndale Gardens many years. Julie loved music. A superb pianist, she played at church and sang in the choir. She loved the outdoors, gardening, and being with family. An avid reader and a quilter, she made boiled-wool mittens and also lefse. She enjoyed cribbage. Julie is preceded in death by parents, Earle and Gladys Johnson. She is deeply missed by David Zech, son Hans Zech (Darylee), daughter Erika Bonneau (Kevin), brother Jay Johnson, sister Diane Entrikin (John), 9 grandchildren, and other relatives and friends. Memorial service will be at 11 AM, Monday, April 29th at Westwood Lutheran Church, 9001 Cedar Lake Rd., St. Louis Park, MN.
