Schwarz, Radonna Jones Radonna passed away peacefully in Charlottesville, Virginia on January 9, 2024, at the age of 93. Born and raised in Mankato, MN, she is survived by her son, Kurt Schwarz and his partner, Tammy Welch; daughter, Kelly Kyriacopoulos; grandchildren Casey Kyriacopoulos Carter (Sean), Ben Kyriacopoulos and Sarah Kyriacopoulos; sister-in-law Ann Jones; and brother-in-law Dick Schwarz. Radonna was predeceased by her husband Jim; parents Ben and Margaret Jones; brothers Leigh and Larry Jones; brother-in-law John Schwarz and sisters-in-law Susan and Babby Schwarz. Radonna graduated from the University of Minnesota with an undergraduate and Master's Degree in Library Science. After graduation, she was an elementary school librarian in Great Falls, MT and Edina, MN, before starting her family. Radonna and Jim loved to travel, visiting all 7 continents and over 130 countries. At home in Edina, as well as in Charlottesville, Radonna loved to read and walk. She loved the Lord and practiced her faith through Bible studies, daily readings and altar guild service. Selfless to the end, she donated her body to the Virginia Anatomical Society.
