Skubitz, Kathleen S. "Kay" age 81 of Andover passed away peacefully on June 7, 2023. Kay was born in Milwaukee and grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota. She married the love of her life, Frank, in 1965. Together they enjoyed traveling, going to the cabin, visiting family and friends, and watching the birds and squirrels on the deck. Kay was a loving mother to her four kids, Tracy (Joe), Sean (Michelle), Tammy (Steve) and Michael (Tina). She enjoyed her 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Kay was a gifted artist and would spend countless hours painting or creating ornaments to adorn the home. She spent years volunteering at the Anoka County Historical Society and at St. Raphael's and St. Patrick's Catholic Church. She worked night shifts at both Cosmopolitan Motel and Super America where she is remembered fondly by the local police for her friendliness and hospitality, even once being driven home by the police during the Halloween Blizzard of 1991 due to the poor road conditions. Kay was welcomed in Heaven by the many family members and friends who have gone before her. Memorial Mass Friday June 16, 2023 at 11 am at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, 7101 143rd Avenue NW, Ramsey. Visitation one hour prior to Mass at the Church.
