Safyre, Debra (Hessling, Eddy) Our beautiful mother, Debra (Hessling, Eddy) Safyre passed away at her home in Richfield, MN on May 25th, 2023 at the age of 69.

Preceded in death by parents, George and Mary Hessling; siblings Bill Hessling, Bernie Hessling, Theresa Hessling and baby Mary Hessling. She is survived by former husband Clyde Eddy; daughters Kristen (Gruber) Eddy and Sarah (Scott) Corbin; grandchildren Orianna, Gabriella, Addy Mae, Bridger and Baby C.; siblings James Hessling, John (Dolores) Hessling, Chuck (Vicky) Hessling, Tom (Ellie) Hessling, Bob (Blanca) Hessling, Julie Hessling and Judy (Tom) Rossbach; many extended family, friends and classmates.

Debra's children are hosting a celebratory gathering on Saturday, July 15 from 11:00-1:00 at the Historic Fort Snelling Visitor Center. In lieu of flowers, please turn to someone in your life and share this prayer: "I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you."

Historic Fort Snelling Plank Museum & Visitor Center 200 Tower Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55417 2nd Floor Event Space 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM Mom wanted a party, not a funeral. Expect color, music and dancing! We will be hosting a meal and there will be a microphone for sharing memories, readings and prayers. Please park in the available lot. It is a paid lot, so you will need to get a ticket from the machine as you enter, but we will provide vouchers so you can exit without having to pay. Saturday is an active day at the Visitor Center (Mom would love that) so expect to see others. Look for signs that point you to the event space on the second floor. Accessible ramps and an elevator to the second floor are available. Please contact Kristen or Sarah with questions.
