Patricia Ann Schroeder

Schroeder, Patricia Ann Age 92, of Maple Grove, MN, passed away on June 6, 2023. Preceded in death by parents, Gerald Joseph Maier and Dorothy Mary Maier (nee Bowker); daughter, Teresa Mary; husband, Norman Peter. Pat was born in Duluth, MN on March 12, 1931. Her early years were spent at the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, majoring in biology and chemistry and interning as a medical technician at St. Mary's Hospital. She met Norm during a summer session at the University of Minnesota Duluth. They married on July 31, 1955 and within a year started a family that would grow to include six children and their spouses, 14 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. She loved spending time with friends and gathering with her family at the home in the Maple Grove woods. After raising her children, she directed her enthusiasm to other children for many years working as a paraprofessional in the Robbinsdale School District. She was an active member of her parish and many community organizations. In retirement, Pat and her husband enjoyed spending time with their family and friends at the cabin and traveling the world together. In her final years, she loved socializing with the ladies at The Lakes, playing bridge, bingo and poker. Pat's fun-loving personality will be missed dearly by her family and friends. Survived by; children, David Peter Schroeder (Ramona), Elizabeth Ann Blume (Paul), Michael Joseph Schroeder (Mary Dougherty), Katherine (Kate) Mary Papke (Scott), Peter Gerald Schroeder (Leslie), Ann Therese Gross (Kenneth); 14 grandchildren; 10 great- grandchildren. Visitation on Monday, June 12, 10:00-11:00 a.m. at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 East Wayzata Boulevard, Wayzata. Prayer Service following at 11:00 am.
