Moormeier, Jayne Lorae (Kansanback) Age 61 of Aitkin and formerly of Chaska, MN, passed away on March 16, 2023. She is preceded in death by her father, Arnold Kansanback and her sister, Julie (Kansanback) Carlson. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 34 years, Reed and children, Benjamin (Sara) Moormeier and Brooke (David) Monaghan. Jayne grew up on a farm in southwest Minnesota, and she graduated from Storden-Jeffers High School in 1980 and Augustana University in 1984. After graduating from college, Jayne accepted a job as a Bank Examiner in Omaha, NE where she met her husband Reed. Jayne and Reed were married in 1988 and shortly after moved to Irvine, CA. They enjoyed a short time in California, but then were excited to move back to Omaha, NE where Benjamin and Brooke were born. In 2000, Jayne and her family moved to Chaska, MN where they were closer to the Kansanback family. Jayne enjoyed being home with Benjamin and Brooke for several years before she went to work as an Internal Auditor at KleinBank and more recently at Thrivent Financial. What Jayne enjoyed most was spending quality time with her family. As a family, they spent weekends at the cabin, went out to birthday dinners, celebrated holidays, and went on family vacations. Jayne was very active outdoors, taking daily nature walks on the trails, kayaking on Farm Island Lake, and biking with friends. Three years ago, Jayne and Reed moved up to their cabin on Farm Island Lake and made Aitkin, MN their home. A memorial service will be held at Minnetonka United Methodist Church (17611 Lake Street Extension, Minnetonka, MN) on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 12PM with visitation one hour prior.
