Swanson, Peter C. Age 53 of St. Louis Park, MN passed away unexpectedly February 22, 2023 from a heart attack. He is survived by his parents, Chuck and Barb Swanson; sister, Andrea (Swanson) Spears; brother-in-law, Gary Spears; nieces and nephews, Allison, Sydney, Sam and Andrew Spears, and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Born January 23, 1970 in Wakefield, MA, Pete moved to Minnesota at the age of two. He grew up with a lifelong group of friends from Diamond Lake Church. He was a proud graduate of Edina High School and Southern Methodist University, where he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. While pursuing his professional career, Pete earned his MBA from St. Thomas University and worked in sales and program management training and development, most recently as a Training Manager for Zelis Healthcare. Pete poured his love and energy into his family and friends. He was passionate about golf, his softball team, fantasy football and the Minnesota Vikings. He looked forward to trips to the cabin with family, and enjoyed annual golf and ice fishing trips with friends. He was fiercely competitive and loyal. While always wanting to win, he would cheer for everyone else's achievements. And he was an uncle beyond compare - always checking in with "the people" and serving as the super fan at all they did. Celebration of life service at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 27 at Diamond Lake Lutheran Church, 5760 Portland Ave S, Minneapolis, MN with visitation at 10 a.m. The service will be live streamed.
