Romano, Amardo J. "Marty" age 98, of Bloomington. Survived by loving wife of 71 years, Lorraine; children, Eileen Romano (Fred Mendenhall), Joanne Romano; grandchildren, Joanne Mendenhall, Rick Mendenhall, and Michele (Erik) Rettig; great-grandchild Jack Rettig; sisters, Angela Gualtieri and Rita Waldron. Marty was a preeminent civil engineer who designed the Lowry Tunnel and the Richard I. Bong Memorial Bridge, and was VP of Edwards and Kelcey. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Smile Train.
