Combs, Jack Navy Vietnam War Veteran and USS Kittyhawk Chief Petty Officer, died on 01/23/23 at age 70. He wore many hats. With his passion for hockey, he coached a Minnesota Mite team to the International Tournament. As a farrier, he received Honorable Mention at one of singer Wayne Newton's horse shows. A retired 30-year GM employee, Jack cultivated a natural mechanical aptitude, received his Boiler License, and became its most sought-after Forklift Operator. He was a fan of muscle cars, Harleys, and classic western movies. Among his favorite artists are The Moody Blues, The Allman Brothers Band, and Joe Cocker. Jack was an avid reader, a spiritual man, had the best laugh, and cherished his family and their pets. Our beloved brother, uncle, cousin, and friend was preceded in death by his parents, many aunts and uncles, an infant cousin, and special friends Red and Reggie. He is survived by sisters Rebecca and Deborah, nephew John with Stacey, cousins young and old, friends near and far, Peanut, the cat, and dogs Coco, Duke, Leila, and Sadie. His death was swift, sudden, and without trauma. Having been called Home, he is happy and at peace. On Earth, a private celebration of his life will last forever until we join him.
