Dresser, Elizabeth "Betty" Of Bloomington. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother & great grandmother passed away on 1/15/23 at the age of 90. She is deeply missed by family and friends. She is survived by sons: Jeff Speer & Jim (Sandy) Speer; grandchildren: Jennifer (Adam) Connolly, Patrick (Claire) Speer, Alex (Ashley) Speer, Mike (Erin) Speer & Katie Speer; great grandsons: Cameron Connolly, Arlo Speer & Conner Speer; brother: Ken Snider. Step Family: sons: Richard, Steven & Jeffrey Dresser; grandson: Alexander, granddaughter: Alison (Trevor) Gibbs; great grandchildren: Myra & Niko Gibbs. Preceded in death by parents Max & Virginia Snider; 1st husband Richard Speer, 2nd husband Bill Dresser and daughter-in-law: Nancy Speer. Betty was born in Mt. Pleasant & grew up in Fairfield IA, graduating from Fairfield High School & attended Parsons College for 2 years, earning a Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education. Betty grew up playing basketball, softball & volleyball. She played basketball in high school & college. After working in the Southdale Oral Surgery Office for 20 years, she started doing volunteer work for several different organizations & tutoring 2nd graders in reading. Betty & Bill enjoyed spending time at their home on the North Shore of Lake Superior, & also, winters at their condo in Scottsdale, AZ. They also enjoyed their many travels in the US, including Alaska and Hawaii plus the trips abroad. Switzerland, France, and Monaco were among the favorites. With her interest in sports she enjoyed watching the Lynx, Wild, Vikings, Twins and Timberwolves.
