Bednar, Ann H. (Chura) Age 102, lifelong resident of NE Minneapolis. A sweet and gentle lady passed away peacefully on September 21, 2022. Preceded in death by husband John, brothers Peter, John and Frank Chura; sisters Julia Chura, Rose Sprague and sister-in-law Ann Lambert. Survived by children Joe, Mariann (Wayne Thoreson), Jeanmarie (Greg Szlachtowski), Kathleen, John (Lisa Berthiaume); grandchildren Steven (Megan) Szlachtowski, Gerry (Kerri) Ruch, Jenny and Keith Thoreson; nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Ann belonged to SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church where she was a member of the Lady's Guild. She worked for many years at Worwa's and Arthur's Restaurants in NE Minneapolis. The family wishes to thank all the nurses, staff and caregivers of Catholic Eldercare on Main Street for the wonderful care they provided. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, October 6 at 9:30 a.m. with visitation from 9:00 - 9:30 a.m. at SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, 1305 2nd St. NE, Minneapolis, MN Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
