James Lowell Courtney

Courtney, James Lowell age 88, of Chaska passed away peacefully on September 21, 2022. Preceded in death by mother Celia Mae Courtney, father Harley Anthony Courtney, sisters Mary Seelye, Jean Reiser, Betty Ann Stinson, grandson Shaun Courtney. Survived by wife Rosalie, daughters Kathy Baker (Howie), Beth McGinnis (Scott), son Jimmy (Chris), 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, sisters Marlene Esler, Carol Bergquist and many nieces, nephews and friends. Jim and Rosalie were married for over 65 years. He took great pride in his family. He worked for Northwest Bell Company for over 30 years. He also spent many years repairing boats, cars and building houses. There wasn't anything Jim couldn't build or fix. He enjoyed flying, camping, fishing, hunting, canoeing, and snowmobiling. Jim served in the Naval Reserves for 8 years and was on Orono Police Reserves for several years. He was a very giving person willing to help out anyone who needed it. His kind-hearted, loving personality touched so many people. Even though he would never admit it, his genuine love and influence touched everyone that he encountered.
