Erickson, Kenneth of Woodbury, MN, passed away on July 27, 2022, at the age of 78 from complications from a stroke. Ken was born on March 10, 1944, in Platte, South Dakota. Until 8th grade he attended an actual 1-room schoolhouse and liked to say he was in the top 4 of his class (out of 4). Ken graduated from Platte High School and then South Dakota State University. He spent most of his career as a sales representative for Far-Vet Supply, Co., making sure veterinarians had what they needed to keep your pets happy and healthy. He lucked out when he married Karen in 1971, and they had many adventures together - including raising their kids, Brian and Janelle. No one could small talk quite like Ken. Within minutes of meeting him, you knew he grew up on a farm in Platte, the names of his brothers, what he did for a living, and before you knew it, you had a new friend. He taught half of Woodbury how to waterski behind his boat on Carver Lake. He traveled the world, played plenty of golf, had wonderful friends, enjoyed good health and had the two best granddaughters on the planet. When asked last year what he would change in his life if he could go back and do it over, he was quick to respond: "Not a thing." We should all be so blessed. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and Ralph, stepfather Ernie, parents-in-law Malford and Rose Marie, brother Eugene and nephew Eric. Ken is survived by his wife of 51 years, Karen, son Brian (Laura), daughter Janelle, granddaughters Avery and Quinn, brother Jim (Vicki), sister-in-law Beverly, and many wonderful nieces, nephews and extended family members. A celebration of life will take place in August. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ken's honor may go to N.C. Little Hospice or Pheasants Forever.
