Raasch, Gary D. age 81, of Shakopee, passed away peacefully surrounded by his four living children June 22, 2022. Born in Morris, MN, Gary's openhearted charisma and wry, red-headed smile drew people like a bonfire. He earned a baseball scholarship to University of Minnesota and fell for Shakopee native Sally Nevin, whom he married after a whirlwind courtship in 1963. Gary's ability to inspire others made him a success at the Pillsbury Company, and as the family expanded to welcome five children, they bought a house on a Michigan lake. When the kids had kids of their own, it was time to return to Minnesota, where family visits brought them joy. He is survived by children Amy Raasch, Jill (Myron) Serbay, Molly (Joe) Contos, John Raasch; grandchildren Jackie Serbay (Gino Pulice), Jake, Dean, Drew, and Megan Contos; siblings & spouses Connie Raasch, Kathy Raasch, Don (Syl) Raasch, Sandy (Dan) Haugen; dear friend Tyanne (Ken) Breimhorst, & beloved dog, Lyla;predeceased by wife Sally, daughter Tammy, parents Les & Marian Raasch, & brothers Dick and Ron Raasch. Visitation Monday, June 27, 9-10:15AM, Church of St. Mark, 350 S. Atwood St, Shakopee, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM. Interment Catholic Cemetery.
