Conrad, Marguerite Jane "Peggy" 82 of Roseville, MN, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of June 20, 2022. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, but at an early age her family moved to Seattle, Washington where she graduated from Lincoln High School. She completed her nursing training at the University of Washington and was always a proud UDub Husky. It was just after her training when she met and married William "Bill" Conrad a newly-minted physician. Their partnership would take them around the world caring for people. Always a tireless worker and organizer, she made possible their vision for serving thousands of patients from Boulder, Colorado, Warner Robins, Georgia and large areas of Western China. As a skilled assistant or willing trainer /manager, she always made sure that things were done correctly either at home or in the operating room. She never backed away from a problem that seemed too big or a person who seemed too difficult. She was a kind and thoughtful friend with a contagious laugh, playful smile and mischievous hands. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, William Christie Conrad; children: Peter (Ann) Conrad, Kristin (Steve) Benham, and Daniel (Deanna) Conrad; grandchildren: Matthew (Natalie) Conrad, Christie Conrad, Emma Conrad, Jessica Benham, Maggie (Brandyn) Tapio, Abigail Conrad, Anna Conrad, Sarah Conrad; her brother: Willard (Janet) Dobbins, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her very capable parents, Willard and Glendola Dobbins. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Music in World Cultures (MIWC) at miwc.org. A private family celebration of life will take place in the coming days.
