Daniel Mark Bowler

Bowler, Daniel Mark 60, passed away suddenly on May 21, 2022. He left behind to cherish his memory his father, William Bowler, sister Margaret Wolfe, brothers, Joseph Bowler, and Thomas (Michele) Bowler. Nieces, and nephews, Sarah Bowler, Ryan Bowler, Patrick Wolfe, Anne (Mitch) Mandell, and Claire Wolfe, relatives, loving and supportive friends and colleagues. Dan was predeceased by his mother Anna Casey Bowler Dan attended Totino Grace High School graduating in 1980, graduated from St. John's University with a BS in Mathematics in 1984, and received his MA in Education from St. Mary's University in 1999. Recently retired in January after 35 years of teaching at Benilde-St Margaret's. He taught mathematics along with coaching baseball, softball, basketball, and the math team over the years. He also served as department chair for 6 years. Dan was a devoted fan throughout his career of BSM, his colleagues, and his students. In 1989 he joined the Peace Corps and spent two years in Nepal, teaching village school and training Nepali math and science teachers. Family and friends will fondly remember Dan's kind, supportive spirit, his love of Twins baseball, St Johns football, family game nights, poker nights, group outings with his many friends, bicycling, and his travels. Visitation will be held on Wed., June 8th from 5-8pm at Roseville Memorial Chapel, 2245 Hamline Ave N, Roseville. Funeral Mass will be on Thurs., June 9th at 10am, with visitation beginning 9am, at St. Rose of Lima Church, 2072 Hamline Ave N, Roseville. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery in St. Paul.
