Shaffer, Geraldine "Jeri" was called to heavenly home on May 10, 2022. She was born on April 19, 1935 to Charles and Eleanor Wirz Leider in Anoka, MN. Jeri was baptized on May 5, 1935 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in rural Elk River (Nowthen) by Pastor Reginald Weinhold; confirmed April 10, 1949 at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Anoka by Pastor Arnold Schulz. Jeri was married to Lowell Shaffer on April 26, 1958 at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Anoka by Pastor William Sutterer and they resided in Champlin, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband Lowell, parents Charles and Eleanor, and brother Dale Leider. Jeri retired from the Rum River Lumber Company in Anoka. After her retirement she and Lowell purchased a winter home in Weslaco, TX. Jeri is survived by sons, Joel (Kathleen) and Mark Shaffer, grandchildren Rebecca (David) Anderson and Jacob (Nicole) Shaffer, great-grandchildren Thorn, Raliegh, and Jacob Anderson, Skyler and Harper Shaffer. Also surviving are brothers Keith (Susan) Leider, and Allan Leider, sisters Myra Werner and Caron (Martin) Moritz, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Monday, May 16, 2022 at 11 AM with visitation beginning at 10 AM at Eternal Hope Lutheran Church 10508 Doulas Drive North, Brooklyn Park, MN.
