Mary Alice Strutzel

Strutzel, Mary Alice was born in St. Paul, MN on Christmas Day 1956, and died on May 8th due to complications of frontotemporal degeneration. She is survived by sister Margaret (Greg Hull) and beloved nieces Jenny and Katie Hull. Mary is also survived by dear friend Kevin Nimerfro, and feline companions AJ and Cooper. She was preceded in death by cherished parents Ralph and Era Strutzel. Mary was an intelligent, fun and beautiful person both inside and out. She loved her family and many friends deeply. A creative person, she was a skilled seamstress and quilter, gifting many carefully crafted quilts to those near and dear. Mary found great love and joy in "little animals" as she called them. She will greet many of them on the Rainbow Bridge. As an owner of two businesses, Mary put her heart and soul into each. Mary loved the improv community and especially her CSZ Twin Cities theater group. She found joy and happiness there, and it was an important part of her life. Mary was also proud to continue working in the business started by her father. A Celebration of Mary's Life will begin at 11:00 AM, SATURDAY, July 30th, 2022 at the Roselawn Cemetery Chapel, immediately followed by refreshments and time of sharing and remembrances in the Roselawn Gathering Room. All will be held at Roselawn Cemetery, 803 Larpenteur Ave. W., Roseville, MN. Private inurnment will take place at Roselawn Cemetery. It is hard to imagine our lives without Mary's presence - her warm and spirited personality will be deeply missed. Donations may be made to the Animal Humane Society or donor's choice.
