Charles McIntyre Webster

Webster, Charles McIntyre Age 86, of Bloomington, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2022. Preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Louise Webster, Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Nancy; son Chuck, Jr. and wife Karin; daughter Ann; grandchildren Elise, Jennifer and Peter Webster; and sister Mary. Chuck was raised in Edina, graduating from Edina High School in 1953. He was a three-sport athlete and is a member of the Edina High School Athletic Hall of Fame. He graduated from Amherst College in 1957, then served in the US Navy from 1958-61 in Okinawa, the Philippines, and Washington DC. While home on break from the Navy, Chuck met Nancy Bateman on a blind date in 1958, and courted her through daily letters. They married in June 1960 and settled in Edina in 1963. Chuck had a successful and enjoyable 57-year career in money management, starting in the trust department of First National Bank in 1961 and retiring from Webster Partners in 2018 at age 83. He was a man of faith and lived his life with integrity, humility, and deep love for his family. Chuck was blessed to have a close-knit group of friends from high school and college, and he treasured these relationships throughout his life. He also loved to read, travel (especially with Nancy to Europe and New York City) and play squash and tennis. Chuck and Nancy were members of Christ Presbyterian Church, and also involved with Hope Academy and the Minnesota Arboretum. The memorial service is Thursday, May 19, at 11am at Christ Presbyterian Church in Edina, with visitation one hour before the service. Reception immediately following.
