Horsager, Barbara Gail (Lewis Juliar) 85 of Eagan, MN passed away peacefully at her home in Indio, CA on November 23, 2021. From Mankato to St. Clair, Barb lived in Burnsville & Eagan, MN from 1969 to 2021 where she taught Kindergarten in Dist. 196 for 31 years, began in Minnesota Lake, MN prior to 1969 and was a volunteer tutor in Coachella, CA into her 80s. She was a champion for children and education throughout her life, awarded honors by Congressman Bill Luther, and was an active alumnus and supporter of MN State University Mankato. She served with various local organizations, was church organist & pianist with an enduring love of music, art, and culture with a passion for sports, especially "her" Vikings & Twins, rarely missing a game. Barb cherished beautiful summers at the cabin In Park Rapids, MN among family & friends, and winters in Palm Springs where she enjoyed golf and sunshine surrounded by dear friends old and new. The always fun, easygoing aunt, sister, neighbor, and friend, she was a devoted wife & mother who adored her grandchildren all of whom provided her inspiration and fulfillment. Rooted in faith, she was truly a lover of all people, of life, laughter, service, and community. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome Horsager; parents: Roy & Nadine Lewis; sisters-in-law: Patricia Lewis, Estella Horsager and many beloved Juliar brothers/sisters-in-law. Survived by brothers: Don (Molly) Lewis, Jarett Lewis and brother-in-law Zackary Horsager; children: Jeffrey (Scott) Juliar, Jay (Darcy) Juliar, Todd (Naomi) Horsager, Susan (Dan) Tolan, Thomas (Val) Horsager; grandchildren: Noah, Paige, Luke, Olivia, Victoria, Taylor, Grant, and Garrett. Memorial service to be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at River Hills United Methodist Church, 11100 River Hills Drive, Burnsville and via Live Stream online on Facebook and YouTube. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the American Red Cross or River Hills United Methodist Church.
