Stimpson, Garrett 57, passed away peacefully at his home in Bradenton, Florida on December 20, 2021, surrounded by family. Over the last year, Garrett has put up a brave fight against esophageal cancer. Born and lived in Minnesota most of his life, Garrett moved to warmer weather in Florida in 2016. He never stopped being a loyal and prideful Minnesota guy cheering on the Vikings, Wild, Twins and anything Minnesota! 10 months after moving Garrett and Lisa "bought a bar" named JAXX in Palmetto, FL. Although JAXX may not have been originally named by Garrett, it will forever be known because of Garrett. Garrett built a legacy the town shall never forget. When you think of him, think of the hilarious and loveable giant of a man who watched every hockey game, every Vikings game, never missed a softball tournament, always willing to beat you at the poker table and the first to show up as your friend. Garrett will forever remain in the hearts of his fiancé Lisa, sons Dakota and Drake, mother Cheryl Kuhlman, brother Jason Stimpson and a long list of friends! Memorials may be directed to: Juvenile Diabetes Research (JDRF MN - 3001 Metro Dr # 100, Bloomington, MN 55425). A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, January 22, 2022, to start @ 3:00 pm. at the American Legion POST 320 in Hopkins, MN (10 12th Avenue South).
