Charles Ksiazek, Sr.

Ksiazek, Charles, Sr. March 13, 1944 - Jan 1, 2022 Elk River. Passed away surrounded by his family at home on Hospice Care. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He served in the Army infantry with the Big Red One Squadron and also in the Honor Guard so proudly. He was an outdoor enthusiast, a mentor and hero to his son; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, trap shooting, snowmobiling and he taught Kari (pun-kin) compassion, empathy, understanding, love of life and to just be yourself. He also loved a good poker game, a game of pool, coin collecting and traveling. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Sherry, daughter Kari (Sean) Svoboda, son Charlie Jr. (Katy Shields) granddaughter Molly Hickerson, siblings Jim (Eileen), Walter (Joyce), John (Dianne), Frank (Diane) and Julie Ann and many nieces and nephews. And we can't forget grand puppy Callie. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him. A celebration of his life will be held in March.
