Judith M. Frisbie

Frisbie, Judith M. passed away September 4, 2021 at Friendship Village after prolonged, multiple illnesses. Born February 6, 1937 in Columbus, Ohio, she grew up in St. Louis, MO, attended Mt. Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts where she served as associate editor for the school newspaper and business manager for the literary magazine. She pursued a "practical" career as a social worker at the University of Chicago Medical School and later at Washington University Medical School in St. Louis where she met and married James Frisbie, a doctor in training in 1964. After many moves for her husband's training and military duty she made her home in Needham MA - 1973 to 2009. She began writing short stories and working as a finalist for Suburban World Press and later became a reporter. She became editor of the Dover-Sherban World Press in 1987, stepping down in 1994 because of chronic illness. She moved to Minnesota in 2009, living the last 8 years at Friendship Village in Bloomington MN. She is survived by her husband and two children - Carl Daniel Frisbie and Margo Palombi - and by 4 grandchildren. Her ashes will be buried with her husband's on his death.
