DeLia, Joan M. Age 69 of Hopkins, MN, passed away September 11th after a long illness. Preceded in death by parents, Charlotte & Arthur Schiebe. Joan leaves behind her loving brother, Jim (Faye Russell) Schiebe, with whom she had a special bond; former husband and close friend, Bob DeLia; special friends, Pam Lewis & Jeff Khteian; a sister, Janice Schiebe; & many cousins. Joan met Bob in college & they remained close all their lives. Bob & Jeff were very supportive of her & kept in close touch, visiting often from California. Joan & her best friend, Pam, enjoyed each other's company immensely; they loved to laugh & leaned on each other in good times & bad. Joan had worked as a graphic artist & also enjoyed her employment in the wholesale jewelry business after completing courses in gemology. Joan was a sweet & loving woman & will be greatly missed by her family & friends. At Joan's request, there will be no services. She wished those who loved her to remember her as she was.
