Gordon, Kathleen Marie "Katie" "I was born on November 13, 1954 and died on September 15, 2021. Cancer is ugly and has a tendency to win no matter how hard the medical field works for you. I do know, that when I took my last breath, I was surrounded by great love. I could feel John's sadness, his extraordinary love for me and little bit of anger too. Darn it!! Our RV trip will now only be a dream of ours. The thought of not being in his presence is overwhelming to me. I will be thrilled to see my mom and dad, Bill and Windy Gordon, along with my sister Barbara Ann Gordon- Hefner, my Aunt Mary Lou and all who have gone before me. Saying goodbye to my friends and family members will be numbing for them. The memories they will share with each other will be a bond that will keep them all together. How lucky for me to have spent 28 years at Baldwin Supply Company doing what I love to do - bossing people around! With no kids of my own, it was a perfect fit. I grew to know and love many of them as if they belonged to my family tree and I will miss hanging around them. Even though I was a bit late to the dance floor with John, there is not a minute that we would not redo. He taught me patience, how to dance, how to be quieter, how to make fun of myself, but most importantly, he taught me what love is. Clearly, I could go on and on about John. Thank you, Mr. Fisher. I cannot overlook the love and support of the "Tanks". From the moment I entered John's life they embraced me as if I've known them all my life. A great group of people I was lucky enough to call my friends. Thank you to each and everyone of you. I will miss you. To ALL my friends, golfers, bowlers and family, I loved you greatly and will miss you greatly. I was preceded in death by my parents, Bill and Bernice Gordon, my sister Barbara Gordon-Hefner, my brother, Baby Boy Gordon, grandparents and relatives. I am survived by my brother Dan (Becky) Gordon, my sisters Mary Jo (Bill) Winter, Patty, Clare (Scott) Pobanz, brother-in-law John Hefner. I will miss my nieces, Shay, Jayne, Latrice, Casandra, and nephews, Jake, Sam, Luke, Kyle and Billy as well as their extended families. I sadly leave behind my great love John Herrmann, his brother Tom (Sandy) Herrmann, his daughter Maggie (Patrick) Jacobs, sons Charlie (Deana) Herrmann and grandson Liam, Rob (Rachel) Herrmann, and their extended family and friends. Woof, Woof Woody."
