Burton, Robert C. Jr. age 92 of Burnsville, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2021. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Donna; sons, Bobby and Jimmy; son-in-law, Keith McNeill, and parents, Robert Sr. and Ethel. Robert proudly served his country in US Air Force during the Korean War, and is a member of the Savage American Legion and the Bloomington VFW. He retired from NSP after 38 years with 22 years at IBEW Local 160 as Secretary/Treasurer. Bob was the Dakota County Civil Defense Director in the 1960's and a Butcher for SuperValue. Bob is survived by his loving children: Susan McNeill, Tracy Gnerer (George), and Barbara Weisman (Jon Roese); grandchildren: Matthew (Jamie), Zachary (Mari), Kelly, Casey, Katie, Brooke & Samantha; great grandchildren, Liam, Andrew, Ainsley, Lucy, and Myles; siblings, Donald (Jackie), Carol Wilson, Bill (Patti), and Wayne (Mary Ann), also by many nieces, nephews & close friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Presbyterian Homes at Valley Ridge for their loving care. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 AM Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 4625 West 125th Street, Savage, MN with visitation starting at 9:30 AM.
