Van Ryn, Erich Paul On June 4, 2021, Erich Paul Van Ryn passed away peacefully at home surrounded by love after a courageous battle with cancer. Erich was born on February 24, 1981 in Golden Valley, MN. He graduated from Cooper High School in New Hope, MN in 1999 and had a successful career as a loan administrator in the auto finance industry. One of Erich's many gifts and talents was his creativity. He had a deep passion for music. As a teenager, Erich learned on his own how to be a DJ. He immersed himself in the world of electronic dance music and became a semi-professional DJ in the Twin Cities as a young adult. He worked diligently at his craft and found great joy and fulfillment through music. Erich was self-motivated and driven in all aspects of his life. He was passionate about technology, cars, films, video games, and his precious dog Daisy, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. He was fascinated by nature, our planet, and the vast universe. He was inquisitive, a deep thinker at his core. Erich was beloved by his family, friends, and colleagues. He was an incredibly loyal, committed, hard-working, bright, artistic, loving, generous, and compassionate human being who made a positive impact on everyone he encountered. Erich will always be remembered for his kind heart, his integrity, and his resounding strength of character. His brave spirit will forever live on in our hearts. Erich is survived by his devoted wife, Janet Brock Van Ryn; mother Linda Van Ryn; father Richard Van Ryn; sister Laura (Joe) Novatney; nieces, Emma and Hannah Novatney and many extended family members.
