Wenning, Lloyd I. of Naples, Florida, formerly of Plymouth, MN, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family after a short courageous battle with cancer on June 4, 2021. Lloyd was born in Melrose, Minnesota to Lawrence and Melania Wenning on May 8, 1940. He married Leona Wesbur on April 27, 1963 and lived in Chanhassen, Minnesota. She preceded him in death on December 28, 1982. On June 26, 1993 he married Elaine (Imdieke) LeClaire and they lived in Plymouth, Minnesota until they retired to Florida. Lloyd had a career in investments for over 38 years with his good friend, Jerry Norman, and worked for various companies in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He moved to Naples, FL in 2004 and retired from the investment business in June, 2007. Lloyd loved golfing, fishing, traveling, biking and playing cards. One of his favorite trips was to the Holy Lands and to Egypt to see the Pyramids. He dearly loved his grandchildren and they loved him. Lloyd is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Elaine; children, Patrick Wenning of Naples, Florida, Ryan (Jane) Wenning of Victoria, Jason (Tammy) Wenning of Minnetrista, and stepson Paul LeClaire of Sacramento, CA; brothers, Donald (Mary) Wenning, James (Doris) Wenning; Sisters, LaVonne (Paul) Weber, Mary Ann (Arnold) Meyer, sister-in-law Lorna Wenning; his nine grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Leona, his brother, LeRoy and his parents. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, Father's Day, June 20, 2021 at St. Victoria Catholic Church, 8228 Victoria Dr, Victoria, MN at 2:00 p.m.. Family and friends may visit at the Church prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Lloyd's name to Second Harvest Heartland Food Bank or your favorite local food shelf.
