Charles Halpin

Halpin, Charles Age 71, of Lakeville, MN, passed away surrounded by family on May 15, 2021 after battling COVID. Chuck graduated from South High in 1968 and proudly retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He had a deep passion for military history, particularly, ancient Rome, medieval and the World Wars. He enjoyed playing chess, distance biking, dancing, helping his daughters with projects, and telling stories. He was very social and would talk to anyone who would listen. He found comfort in drawing, painting, and endless hours of writing poems after his beloved wife of 34 years passed away in 2013. Chuck is preceded in death by his parents, Art & Rose (Koreis) Halpin; wife, Karen (Kloster); brother, Joe and his sister, Joyce (Arbuckle). He is survived by daughters, Karli (Nate) Flom, Kimberly, & Katie (Casey) Halpin; grandchildren, Connor, Lincoln, & Tucker; and siblings, Art (Shelly) & Mary Lou (Robert); and many nieces and nephews. His hard work to support his family will forever be appreciated and he will be sorely missed. Celebration of Life is scheduled for July 11th at Holland Lake Shelter in Eagan from noon to 2 p.m. and is open to the public.
