Timothy Rolando

Rolando, Timothy Tim, age 57, was called home to our Lord on March 4, 2021. Born on October 31, 1963, Tim grew up in Golden Valley. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles L. Rolando and his twin brother, Terrence James Rolando. He is survived by his daughter, "Cricket" Sara Packard, his mother, Mary Ann Rolando, and three siblings, Marcus Charles Rolando (Cheri), Brenda Marie Rolando-Hanson (Eric), and Amy Rolando-Sexton (Scott). He was a thoughtful, caring and loving son, brother, father, and uncle to many. Tim was a graduate of Armstrong High School, class of '81. He then went on to pursue his passion for music. Tim was a tremendously talented and prolific guitarist who shared his love of music with everyone around him. He performed in multiple rock bands, including Counterattack and 8 Foot 4. For several years Tim also taught guitar lessons to children and adults. He passed down his musical excellence to his daughter, who continues playing guitar long after their first lesson together. Despite having struggled with mental illness throughout his life, Tim's gentle soul inspired many people. He graciously accepted help for his diagnosis and found a path to build loving relationships, particularly with his family which we are eternally grateful. Diagnosed with pancreatic cancer February 27, 2020, he was given six months to live. God granted us additional time to connect with our beloved son, brother, and friend and he will be greatly missed by all.
