Laughlin, Jaime William Jaime William Laughlin, loving husband, father, son, and brother passed away December 1st, 2020 from complications after suffering multiple strokes. Jaime was born to William and Gladys Laughlin on December 30th, 1957. He was preceded in death by his father, and grandson Jackson Laughlin. He is survived by his mother, wife Heather, siblings Craig (Barbie), Cheryl (Tom), Jody, Kelly (Gina), children Jeremy (Kristin), Emma, stepchildren Josh (Annie), Matt (Ariana), Rachel (Kyle), Bailey (Joe), grandchildren Blake, Aubrey, Grayson, Jake, Hanna. Jaime had a magnetic personality, and liked nothing better than to make people laugh. If you were lucky enough to be with Jaime when he was "performing" you were treated to an interactive improv show unlike any other. His mischievous outlook was infectious, and we all viewed the world, if only for a moment, with lighter hearts while in his presence. This infectious joy also extended to Jaime's hobbies where he was forever recruiting his friends and family to the activities that gave him the most joy-Motorsports. He was a compelling ambassador, and his recruitment was hard to resist. Being with Jaime while karting, riding motorcycles, driving fast cars, or boating was a sure way to have fun; he was eager to share both his toys and his knowledge. These were lifelong pursuits for Jaime, and his sphere of influence in this area is astounding; his part ownership in Stockholm Karting Center is worth noting as many have benefited from his promotion of the sport of karting. Jaime also enjoyed gambling; he loved to plan an evening of poker, a trip to a casino, or even a trip to Vegas. He found a love for travel more recently, and with his wife Heather often stole away on a moment's notice to Florida, California, Colorado, wherever... He was an avid gun and knife collector, and many a friend will have in their possession a knife gifted from Jaime. Many will also remember Jaime's 4th of July fireworks shows; he often commented that the Fourth of July was his Christmas. For decades Jaime produced a firework show to the delight of many. Jaime was a staunch family man. Always earnest and good natured in his offer of help, family were happy to seek it. Jaime's kids were always foremost in his mind and were rightly those most influenced by him. He is adored by family and friends alike. Visitation will be held at 1:30 p.m. and Service at 2:30 p.m. on December 9 at River Valley Church in Shakopee (1350 Crossings Blvd, Shakopee, MN 55379). A party to Celebrate his Life will be held 7/3/21 at Stockholm Karting Center.
