Grant, Arliece E. (Lawrence) Age 99, of Bloomington, died peacefully Friday, November 13, 2020. Arliece was the last of her generation in our family. She was born April 21, 1921 in Mt. Sterling AL to Houston and Euberta Lawrence. She was the eldest daughter of the six children in the Lawrence family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Robert Grant; brothers Dan and George; sisters Juanita Steele, Carrie Bogan, and Eloise Scarver. She is survived by special nieces Rosemarie Munsey, and Deborah, Pamela and Eve Lawrence. Mourning her passing also are numerous nieces and nephews of all ages and generations, and a host of other relatives and friends Arliece attended and graduated from school in Korenton AL and began her career as a bookkeeper in Meridian MS where she met Robert Grant. They married and relocated to Minneapolis in 1953. Arliece was very outgoing and made lifelong friends everywhere she lived. She was a member of several social (Red Hat) and charitable organizations and, with her husband Robert, founded a missionary program at their church. Her greatest joy was fishing and going to garage and estate sales. She loved camping, gardening, cooking and hosting family and friends at her place on the river in Monticello,, MN. Arliece will be remembered by her friends and family for her wonderful sense of humor, her kindness and her faith. She will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that memorials be given in Arliece's name to St. Peter's Church, Missionary Fund, 401 East 41st Street, Minneapolis or to a charity of your choice.
