Holmen, James O. age 93, passed away on November 20, 2020, after a struggle with Covid. His family was with him throughout his final days. Jim was a devoted husband and father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was born in Upsala, MN, in 1927 and was a World War II Navy veteran. Upon his discharge, he attended and graduated from St. Cloud State and began his career at Pillsbury where he met the love of his life, Carolyn Hanson. His career as a project engineer and manager for Pillsbury spanned more than thirty years. He loved life and people and was an avid golfer, cribbage-player, and dedicated volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, Bibles for Missions, and Operation Christmas Child. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn, his three daughters, Diane Drake, Jeannine Brown, and JoAnn Becklund, their husbands, children, and grandchildren. A memorial will be planned post-Covid. In lieu of flowers, the family would invite donations to Habitat for Humanity, Samaritan's Purse, or Bethel University.
