Wetzler (Miller), Thea Marie age 90, of St. Michael, MN and Mpls, MN Born June 19, 1930 died peacefully July 24, 2020. Preceded in death by her devoted husband, Charles Wetzler; parents, Anthony & Eileen Miller; sister & brother-in- law, Sally & Earl Droppo; uncle, George Woodrow Gagnon; in-laws, Bernice & Paul Wetzler; brother-in- law & sister-in-law, John & Maryann Wetzler; brother-in-law, John Schoen; and sister-in-law, Marsha Wetzler. Survived by son, Paul Wetzler & husband, Jac Moore; daughter Amy Jones; and her children Danielle & Tony; niece, Emily (Curtis) Dalbec and their children, Blake and Ashley (Garret) Bartel; sister-in-law, Virginia Schoen; brother-in laws, Robert Wetzler and Richard Wetzler; other dear nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of great friends. Thea was born in Sentinel Butte, ND and she and her parents moved several times for her father's job as a Pharmacist. They settled in Mpls. when Thea was a teenager. She graduated from Central HS, class of 1948. She attended the U of MN and worked as a buyer for Dayton's. She met Chuck on a blind date but had known who he was because they went to the same church. Chuck's father, the Minister there married them on May 9, 1958 and their love story never ended. In 1959 they purchased an A&W Drive-in which they operated for 10 years. Chuck and Thea spent a great deal of time with their church community of St. Peder's Luth. Evan. Church. Thea worked part time for about 12 years at Thrifty Drug and after that at The Medicine Shop, both Mpls neighborhood pharmacies. Thea loved sports, music, theater and perhaps most of all she loved spending time with her two grandchildren and her great niece and nephew. Thea touched many lives with her sometimes ornery wit and her genuine love of laughter. Funeral service 11 AM, Sat. Aug. 22, 2020 at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Ave. So. with visitation one hour before. Interment Fort Snelling with her husband. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Peder's Evan. Luth.
