Scudder, Donna Mae (Rouse) passed away July 15, 2020 at 75, at home with family by her side. Donna grew up in Minneapolis and attended the University of MN, where she met her future husband, Glenn, on a blind date. They were married 53 years and enjoyed many trips across the U.S. and the world. Her family loved summers at DuNord family camp. In retirement, she cherished winters in Florida. Above all, she enjoyed times visiting her children and grandkids. Donna established a career in corporate human resources, working for Cray Research, US Bank, and Pillsbury. She worked with executives, focused on team building and leadership development. Donna volunteered for the League of Women Voters, Hennepin County Library Foundation, Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, and committees for her church and community. Her sought-after wisdom and insights were gifts she shared with love and effectiveness. Ever a mentor, Donna brought out the best in others, promoting their growth. Though she was a problem-solver, this year Donna faced a challenge she could not overcome, when diagnosed with ALS. She coped with the progressive symptoms with grace. So many friends, family (especially Glenn) and Park Nicollet Hospice caregivers provided love and care during her final months. Donna was preceded in death by parents, Beulah and Lawrence. She is survived by husband, Glenn; sister, Karen; children, David Scudder (Stephanie Pure) and Katie Drummond (Rob); treasured grandchildren, Nolan and Alaya; in-laws, nieces and nephews. Though she had many accomplishments, what she most valued was love of family and friends. She will be deeply missed. forever loved and appreciated. Service plans tbd.
