Susan Marie (Naughton) Neff

Neff, Susan Marie (Naughton) Susan Marie (Naughton) Neff, of Deephaven, MN, died peacefully on Sunday, April 26th, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 77. Susan was born August 11, 1942 in Holyoke, MA, to James and Catherine (Looney) Naughton. She grew up in MA, and graduated from Westfield State College with a degree in Education. She moved to Deephaven, MN in 1972, where she remained until her death. She was an extraordinary teacher, who taught for 34 yrs at St. Alphonsus Catholic School in Brooklyn Center, MN. Susan was an active member of St. Therese Catholic Church serving on numerous boards and committees throughout the years. She was also a gifted artist, with a passion for watercolor and sharing her talents with others. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, Aunt, Sister and Friend. Susan is survived by her daughter, Christine Neff (Timothy) Kojetin of Eden Prairie, MN, and her beloved grandchildren, Alexandra and Andrew. She is also survived by sister-in-law Frances Naughton, and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her brothers James and John, and her sister Carol. She will be dearly missed by so many. Because of COVID-19 restrictions, a small private funeral was held on Friday, May 1st at St. Therese. A Memorial Celebration and internment at Resurrection Cemetery, Shorewood, will be held at a later date when her community of friends and family can come together to honor her.
