Burt, Douglas William Age 72, of North Oaks, passed away on April 15, 2020, after a courageous battle with acute myeloid leukemia. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and a man of great intellectual curiosity and deep faith, Doug will be remembered for his devotion to his family and his thoughtful, courageous spirit. Doug earned a B.A. from Univ. of Nebraska-Lincoln and an M.A. from SUNY Binghamton. He worked for over 40 years as a computer software engineer. Survived by loving wife, Lisa Hayes-Burt; children, Kathleen Burt, Erin Secord (Tom), Daniel Burt, Patrick Burt, & Heather Valone (Curtis); grandchildren, Claire, Benjamin, and Adam Secord. A memorial service will be scheduled when it is safe to gather. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the MS Society or the Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance.
