Johnston, Bonnie Ruth (Metts) Age 85, went home to be with Jesus on March 24th, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, C.D. (Don) Johnston, mother Ruth Jones and brother James Metts, both of Kentucky, and dogs, Honey, Prissy & Muffin. Bonnie previously lived in Brooklyn Park, Eden Valley and Coon Rapids, Mn where she raised her family. Bonnie loved her family and friends dearly. She loved gardening and could grow anything she put her mind to, she was an avid reader and in her younger years did many craft projects and was an excellent seamstress and crocheter. When her girls were younger Bonnie's house was the one where all the kids would congregate, whether for a party, hot chocolate or just some pizza and a sleep over. She had a great love of animals, birds, children, those less fortunate and taught her girls strong values. In her later years, it was her grandkids she spent time with at the lake where they had retired. Even later years, she was blessed with great- grandchildren. Bonnie is survived by Daughters, K. Renee' Johnston, Rogers, Mn, Dawn M. & Dr. Stephen Collins, Mora, Mn.; Grandchildren, Nick & Rosie Riley, Maple Grove, Mn, Callie & Ben Christensen, Brahman, Mn, Amber & Nate Hendrickson, Albertville, Mn, Brett Collins, Minneapolis, Mn, Corbin Collins, Minneapolis, Mn, Erik Collins, Chandler, Az, Lidya Collins, Mora, Mn, Samra Collins, Coon Rapids, Mn; Great-Grandkids, Josue, Alejandro, Isabella, Oliver, Maxwell, Beatrice, Charlie, Elijah, Peyton & Maverick.
