Kopietz, Paul Engelbert Age 93 of New Hope, MN, beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away on 3/12/2020. Preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Janet; father, Edmund; mother, Marie; step mother, Naomi; step brothers, George and Richard. Survived by children, Michael (Connie), Leslie (Mark Steinhauser), Daniel (Barbara), Joseph and David (Cassie); sister, Carla Paxton (Ron); thirteen grandchildren and spouses; seven great grandchildren. Paul served his country in the US Navy in WWII. He graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1950 with a degree in Civil Engineering. His professional life was spent working for the University. In retirement Paul volunteered with Habitat for Humanity. He was a long time member of Saint Mary of the Lake, Plymouth. He loved cabin life at Whitefish Lake and the community of friends at Saint Therese of New Hope. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Wed., 3/18 at the Church of St. Mary of the Lake, 105 N.
