Benz, Jared A. Age 32, of St. Louis Park, passed away after a brief illness on December 31, 2019. He is survived by his mother Janet (Bruce Meyer); brother Brian (Emily), niece Lucy (6), nephew Oliver (15 months); and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by brother, Christopher (2007), father, David (2018), and maternal and paternal grandparents. Jared was born May 27, 1987 in La Crosse, WI to David & Janet (Riniker) Benz, the second of three sons. Jared enjoyed the outdoors, spending time with cousins and uncles at the Hog Barn and fishing trips to Canada. He treasured spending time with his family, especially playing board games with his niece Lucy and watching little Oliver grow. He was most known for his big heart and kindness to others. Jared graduated from Robbinsdale Cooper High School and the ITT Technical Institute and went on to have a career in electrical engineering. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020 at Dawn Valley Chapel and Memorial Park, 9940 Bush Lake Rd, Bloomington, MN 55438, with Visitation at 10:00 a.m. and Service of Remembrance at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorials to the Christopher Benz Foundation.
