Beach, John Robert Bob passed away at age 80 on Sunday night November 24th after a long illness. He was a gentle intelligent man who loved his family dearly. He loved learning things, building radio controlled airplanes and many electrical projects. Bob was an electrical engineer who graduated from Iowa State University. He worked for Control Data for many years then built weather radars for Kavorus and Radtec. He is survived by his wife, Betty of 52 years; son, David (Shannon); daughter, Cathy (Andrew), and seven grandchildren, Whitney, Andrew and Nicholas Beach, and Carly, Brynn, Aaron and Abby Boies. Bob was a 60 year member of Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church and he and Betty were grateful participants of the Sacred Journey service. A memorial service will be held at Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church, 511 Groveland Ave, Minneapolis on Saturday, February 1, 10 AM visitation, and 11 AM service with a lunch to follow.
