Gary, age 63, of Excelsior, went to his eternal heavenly home on November 15, 2019. Survived by wife of 39 years, Nanci; daughters Lindsay (Joe) Early & Emily Anderson; grandchildren, Keira & Simon Early; and sisters Julie Simcox & Cynthia Rose (Charlanne); along with numerous nieces, nephews & friends. Preceded in death by parents Virgil Anderson and Delores Forss; brother in law Scott Simcox.
Gary was a Minnetonka Skipper, local Realtor, volleyball coach, and music lover; who had a contagious smile and so much love to give. For the last 3 years, Gary walked a journey of Dementia with Frontotemporal Degeneration displaying incredible courage, dignity, unconditional love and a sense of humor every step of the way.
Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on December 5, 2019 at Westwood Community Church; 3121 Westwood Drive, Excelsior. Immediately following the Service Gary's family will be hosting a Celebration of Life at Excelsior Brewing Company, 421 3rd Street, Excelsior.
Donations to The Association of Frontotemporal Degeneration (TheAFTD.org) in lieu of flowers in Gary's memory.
