Gerde, Florine Estella Florine "Pat," of Bloomington, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2019 at 89 years of age. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard "Dick"; sisters June Dunnigan and Edith Showers. Survived by her four children Steven (Elisabeth Wierum), Timothy (Marilyn), Holly Neuberger (Dale) and Mark (Arlett); grandchildren Justin, Peter, Frances, Elizabeth, Sarah, April, Jason, Joshua, Matthew, Andrew and Maiya; and great grandchildren Wyatt, Garret, Danielle, Kori, Aiden, Adilyn, Brody, Evieanna, Nixon, Liam and Owen. Pat and Dick had 67 years of marriage. Anyone who knew them would say they were a devoted couple. Family, faith and community were important to both of them. They made a church home wherever they lived. Their final church home was Normandale Hylands United Methodist in Bloomington, MN. Music was a shared love, they were active members of the choir, and in their younger years they often sang at weddings and funerals. Pat continued her love of music; in her final years she would joyfully break out in song with little encouragement. On her last day on this earth she was singing "We Gather Together." We are grateful for the loving care she received for the last several years from the great staff on the third floor at MN Masonic Home. Funeral service will be at Normandale Hylands Methodist Church, 9920 Normandale Blvd. S., Bloomington on Friday, November 22nd, visitation at 1pm and service at 2 pm with burial to follow at Bloomington Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Minnesota Masonic Home or Normandale Hylands UMC.
