Searles, Harry Age 74, passed away on August 31, 2019 while receiving excellent hospice care from the staff of Abbott Northwestern Hospital. Harry was preceded in death by his mother Mildred Elaine Searles and father Harry Floyd Searles. Harry was born on February 26, 1945 in Milwaukee, WI. He graduated from Central Wisconsin Christian School in Waupun, Wisconsin in 1963. Harry was employed for over 30 years through Tasks Unlimited, including many years on the team supporting the United States Courthouse in Minneapolis. Tasks Unlimited provided Harry with meaningful work and support that enabled Harry to live independently in the community. Harry was also licensed as a 1C boiler operator. Harry was supported by numerous friends and organizations, including Plymouth Congregational Church, Gospel Light Baptist Church, Avivo (a vocational rehabilitation services provider), Hennepin County social services, two good cops from the Bloomington Police Department, and Camp Knutson (a Lutheran Social Services organization hosting camps for youth and adults with identified needs). Harry was grateful for God's redeeming grace and for his numerous friends who gave Harry their time, support, and love. Harry's life will be celebrated with a service at Gospel Light Baptist Church, 1114 22nd Ave NE, Minneapolis, MN 5541 at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2019.
