Villamil-Van Ornum, Gigi Gigi passed away on May 24, 2018 after a brave, five year hard fought battle with cancer at age 67. She is survived by her husband Bruce Van Ornum, sons Julio Villamil, Ian Villamil, Pablo Villamil and daughter Bettina Grund, as well as six grandchildren and step son Ian Van Ornum and Rikki Van Ornum. And also survived by many supportive extended family members and many, many wonderful, supportive friends. Gigi was an amazing mother, grandmother, wife and friend. She was someone who was always thinking about others. She loved people, she loved laughing and she loved to have fun. Memorial service is Friday, June 1 starting at 1:00pm with visitation at 12:30pm at David Lee Funeral Home at 1220 E. Wayzata Blvd. in Wayzata. A light reception will be held following the service.
