Johnson, Margaret Frances Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 She was born on May 20,1926 in Minneapolis, Minnesota and has been a lifelong resident. She graduated from Minneapolis North High School. She was an active member of the Phyllis Wheatley House, and Pride of the West No. 9 PHA. She worked at the Minneapolis Spokesman-Recorder and Dowling Elementary School. Margaret is survived by her sister Bessie Green; children: William "Eddie", David (Delores), Diane, and Gary Johnson; grandchildren: Marcus, David Jr, Dane, Maxine and Kimberly Johnson, Samantha McClusky; great grandchildren: Anthony, Camille and Meru Johnson. Also numerous nieces, nephews and their children. Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, William and Jennie Grissam; brothers: Albert, Oscar, Roland, and Wilbur; nephews: Kenneth Green and London Grissam; brother-in-law, Robert Green (Bessie) and recently sister-in-law Jean Grissam (Roland). Visitation at 11 am and funeral service at 12 noon on Friday January 5 at Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 2600 E. 38th St., Mpls.
