Theft. A GPS unit was stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 15200 block of Zurich Street NE.

JAN. 18

Burglary. Jewelry and televisions were stolen from a home on the 8600 block of Lake Drive NE.

JAN. 23

Burglary. Someone stole siding from an unlocked garage of a home being built on the 700 block of 122nd Avenue NW.

Theft. A 5-month-old Pomeranian puppy was stolen from the front steps of a home on the 2700 block of 109th Avenue NW. The owner said she had left the dog while she went inside to go to the bathroom.

JAN. 24

Theft. A woman reported that her 14-year-old daughter had stolen $780 from her dresser at their home. The daughter admitted taking the money. The mother did not wish to pursue charges, but wanted an officer to speak to her daughter about theft.

Burglary. An employee of Redpear Salon, 12085 Hanson Blvd. NW., reported that someone stole $190. There were no signs of forced entry.

JAN. 22

Theft. A woman reported that her iPod Touch was stolen after she left it unattended briefly at Lifetime Fitness, 1200 E. Moore Lake Drive NE.

Theft. A GPS unit, camera, auger and ice fishing equipment were stolen from four unlocked vehicles on the 3000 block of 165th Lane NE.

LINWOOD TOWNSHIP

JAN. 12

Theft. A 19-year-old man was arrested for theft, violation of a restraining order and possession of drug paraphernalia after he stole money from his grandmother at her home, police said. The grandson had stolen from her in the past and she has an active restraining order in place, police said.

Theft. Sunglasses and pop were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 24400 block of Oberline Street NE.

MINNEAPOLIS

JAN. 22

Assault. A 53-year-old woman was arrested for assault on the 3400 block of Knox Avenue N. after she stabbed a 62-year-old man during an argument over a vehicle, police said.

MOUNDS VIEW

JAN. 22

Assault. A 40-year-old Mounds View man was arrested for aggravated assault at an apartment on the 5600 block of Quincy Street.

Theft. Someone cut the locks off of 16 storage units at an apartment building on the 2600 block of Scotland Court. It was unknown whether any property was stolen.

Assault. A 40-year-old Mounds View man was arrested for assault and disorderly conduct at Sherwood Road and Greenfield Place.

FEB. 1

Theft. A 1994 Toyota 4-runner was stolen from the 2100 block of Oakwood Drive.

JAN. 10

Theft. An 82-year-old woman reported her purse stolen from her shopping cart while she was at the Wal-Mart at 3800 Silver Lake Road.

JAN. 15

Theft. A man reported that someone had cut his fence and stolen a trailer from the backyard of his home on the 3100 block of Stinson Boulevard.

JAN. 17

Theft. Someone stole the tip money from Smashburger, 3900 Silver Lake Road.

JAN. 19

Public intoxication. A 28-year-old man was taken to a detox facility after he was found sleeping on the floor at Cub Foods, 3930 Silver Lake Road. He had a .27 percent blood-alcohol concentration on his preliminary breath test, police said.
