Louis Jambois was named president and CEO of the Port Authority on Monday. He succeeds longtime president and CEO Ken Johnson, who announced his retirement in April. Johnson has been with the agency since 1990.

Jambois, 55, has been executive director of the Association of the Metropolitan Municipalities since 2004. Before that he held various positions at the state Department of Employment and Economic Development.

Jambois will begin his new job Nov. 1.
